Catch Basins

Catch Basins are normally installed where surface water is to be collected and then carried by underground piping. The basin is designed such that sediment or other debris may settle in a sump area below the level of discharge piping. Some basins may incorporate a baffle or trap to further aid in blocking floating debris from entering the piping. As debris accumulates, the sump area must be cleaned-out in order to maintain proper operation.
